Defending Scotland

Defending Scotland is vitally important.  Like all independence nations, we will need our own defence forces for the vital task of defending Scotland.

We have extensive waters and a very long coastline to protect.  As the icecaps melt there may be new challenges and threats as well as opportunities from the opening up sea routes from the North.  We are going to need personnel, planes, ships and infrastructure to keep Scotland safe and secure.

A key part of the Scottish independence movement is a desire to be rid of the scourge of nuclear weapons from our soil and our waters. Questions such as NATO membership are also up for debate.
