Our special guest this week is author and academic Gerry Hassan. Gerry joined us in our virtual studio to discuss some of the key ideas in his new book which is called Scotland Rising – the case for Independence.
In Scotland Rising, Gerry addresses the key questions with a deep dive into history to analyse the relative decline of the UK. He also explains how we can have a more nuanced discussion about Scottish independence. In particular, there are many ideas of Scotland and many ways of looking at the question. Naturally, Fiona and Marlene had a list of questions to put to him too!
