This week is time for our Livestream for January – this episode is entitled Let Them Eat Cake! Here’s a clue… Oh cake! For me? Don’t mind if I do.

First of all, we are sure there is a team of volunteers at the Alloa Foodbank working week in, week out to look after the people in Alloa. Well done, all of you. Our gripe is a king who leaves his group of very select guests down in Drumfries House, Ayrshire, changes into his new kilt, sets off in his helicoptor, and heads north to visit a foodbank. Without even – as far as anyone knows – taking any contributions with him, maybe some jars of Highgrove jam, and honey from the Drumfries House shop. The livestream opens with our take on all of that.

By the way Charles wore his new kilt with his new tartan, called the Charles III tartan. Very original. But prob quite good for sales promotions. Does he get tartan royalties, we wonder? This photo was taken in Balmoral last autumn but released to his subjects (that’s you and me) the other week on Burns Night. I expect that’s some of his Mum’s Burns Collection that he’s looked out for the occasion. But anyway….
