One month later… AGM Summary

AGM 28th Sept 2026

Minutes

1. Our AGM was held on 28th Sept 2026 at Legends Coffee House at the Wallace Monument,

attended by Fiona McGregor (chair/secretary) , Marlene Halliday (Treasurer) and James McGregor

(associate member).

2. We went through the chair’s report and noted the successful performance against our aims, as

follows:

Our aims as set out in our constitution are:

• To campaign for Scottish Independence by creating podcasts and videos on topics relating

to Scottish politics, history and culture and other topics we think would be of interest to our

listeners

• to publish and promote podcasts and videos on our podcast platforms, website and our

social media accounts

In the 12 months from 1st July 2025 to 30th June 2026 we have produced material as follows:

We have achieved a total of 801647 views/downloads for the year from 1st July 2025 to 30th June

2026, an average of 66803 per month.

We have developed good relationships with a number of groups including Independence Live,

Commonweal, Believe in Scotland, Yes4EU, SSP, WFI, SCND, Scottish Currency Group, AUOB,

Scotonomics and have several regular guests, including some younger activists. We are regularly

approached by guests with topics and requests to attend events. A major undertaking this year was a

trip to the European Parliament in Brussels with Yes4EU resulting in nearly 300k views of the

resulting videos.

We have successfully collaborated on YT with Scottish CND and with SPVR films which will

hopefully help grow the audiences of both channels and we will look for more suitable

opportunities to formally collaborate in the coming year including with Independence Live.

We also would like to undertake a couple more trips, eg to NI and Wales to build on the Celtic

Alliance themes. Our social media presence continues to grow throughout the year as follows:

3. Our Treasurer’s report was discussed.

Our income derived from our Kofi account, with donations of £1078.88, easyfundraising of £76.56

plus a SIF grant of £2445 towards upgrading and replacing equipement.

Of the SIF grant of £2445 we have spent £2074 which has allowed us to produce better visual and

audio quality online and on location as well as replacing wear and tear. Agreed to allocate another

£100 towards Fiona’s replacement phone which was damaged during filming.

Our remaining income is sufficient to cover running costs. Independence Live provide us (and

others) with free access to their Canva and Streamyard. We have reserved a small surplus in case

that arrangement Agreed to reimburse expenses of £250 each against our out of pocket expenses for travel, event tickets, etc.
