Sort of without planning it, we’ve found ourselves with a three-part mini-series this month focussing on nuclear disarmament, on the dangers of current world hostilities, and this week we’re having a look at nuclear power. How come nuclear power is back in fashion?
Pensioners for Independence hosts guest speaker Gordon Morgan, Commonweal energy researcher, who explores the history and economics of nuclear power and changing attitudes within the UK political sphere . After the presentation our audience plied him with a wide range of questions on the lobbyists behind nuclear technology, decommissioning, and renewable alternatives.
