The Wildlife Management and Muirburn Bill is currently making its way through Holyrood. Is it changing the face of Scotland? Revive Coalition are cautiously optimistic.

Revive provided research, evidence and reports to the Scottish Government in the consultation stage of this Bill. Much of that research was presented in the very successful Revive Coalition conference in Perth in November. In this week’s podcast we chat with Revive’s Campaigns Manager Max Wiszniewski, share some of the presentations from the conference on grouse moors, muirburn and raptor persecution.

As Max said at the end of this podcast, although the Scottish Government can take much needed reforms ahead using their current powers, Scottish independence will enable much more in-depth action in the field of grouse moor reform. It’s a topic with a great deal of overlap with the more general land reforms that Scotland needs. You can find more about that in our Land Reform Mibbes Aye episode.
