Read Our Lips as the IndyPodcasters Go Live!
Indypodcasters Fiona and Marlene mull over August’s events with guest Lynne Dougan in our Livestream for August 2024.
Some of our escapades this month
Lynne was at the Elgin AUOB March. Fiona was spinning her wheels as her car got stuck in the mud. Marlene celebrated Ukraine Independence Day in Glasgow West End Victoria Park. Which reminds us that soon after the Russian invasion of Ukraine we podcast a talk by a Ukrainian refugee, now in Scotland. Listen here A Voice from Ukraine.
The more serious stuff
We cover the Winter Fuel Payment debacle – Marlene has the stats! She’ll be adding them to our blog very soon…. check back later for the link.
We watched Rachel Reeves as she perfects her eye roll. OK that’s not VERY serious. But we’re putting down a marker for the future.
We delve into electricity prices here and in Norway. Guess who pays more?
And no, we STILL don’t know what GB Energy really is. Pam Duncan-Glancy reckons that we’re all going to save £1400 a year on our bills. But Mhairi Black isn’t convinced.
