Peace and Poetry : Scottish CND’s Annual Poetry fundraiser event, Glasgow 2025. Whether you are here for the poetry, the politics or the passion – this is not to be missed.
This was afternoon celebration of art, activism and reflections on war, peace and hope for the future and brought together an exceptional line-up of poets & lovers of poetry. They shared moving and thought-provoking work on the themes of peace, war, beauty, tragedy, hope, love and the future of our planet.
If you’re thinking ‘oh, I never get into poetry much’, stop and have a listen! It’s not often you get to listen to poets reciting their own poetry. Or to poetry lovers sharing their favourite poems. And at the end we have a chat to three of them. You can also watch the event here.
It’s also not often you get such a delicious cake, made specially for SCND by a Ukrainian refugee living in Scotland!
