Tis But a Flesh Wound! The Election Result.

We produced a fair bit of commentary and information in the run-up to the general election in our Election Countdown podcasts. We expected SNP to lose seats but not so many as actually happened. The result came as quite a blow as the map of Scotland turned red.

So last week, we experimented with a post-election livestream: to have chat about how we’re feeling and what reflections we had on that result. We don’t normally do live broadcasts from the studio. But we enjoyed the challenge and we loved responding to the comments that came in!

Friend of the podcast – Lynne Dougan – was with us for the livestream. Lynne was at the count of the Alloa and Grangemouth constituency and gives us some behind the scenes insights as to what goes on through the night of an election. And it was Lynne who provided the title!

If you have any thoughts yourself about the election or about our take on it, just add them as comments!
