Hurrah! MSM Monitor is Tweeting Again!
MSM Monitor has long been a valuable social media source debunking & tweeting rebuttals on mainstream media fake news, spun reporting, and downright lying about the case for Scottish independence. It’s always been a bit of a mystery as to who ran the account. Though there are some very likely candidates for that.
A few weeks back its Twitter / X account announced it was closing. Cue: a chorus of “Oh, No! Please stay”. It seems that chorus was heard because the twitter account is back up and running and has been tweeting its own short videos on topics currently being spun in the news. Maybe it has a new admin…
They’ve made a great comeback with a series of videos in the Led By Donkeys style…
This is called Falsehoods and Untruths. It is an excellent summary of BBC MisReporting and how apologies and acknowledgements from them have become a rare event. Watch it here. It’ll be ten minutes of your life well spent
The Michael Matheson iPad – Is it really a scandal?
I anticipated that this would be just the ticket to share around social media. But I’m not sure it does the job. It’s almost a promotion video (~3m50s) for all that BBC footage. But then doesn’t counter it very effectively (~1m30s). Great idea, but this one needs worked on I think. Might just be me… watch it and let us know what you think.
