We’ve picked out our favourite bits from the recent Conter Conference to mark “10 Years On” since the Scottish Independence Referendum.
We didn’t agree with everything that was said by the speakers, as you will find out from our commentary on these clips. The speakers didn’t always agree with each other either! But that was a welcome feature of the conference – the ability to disagree whilst working for the same ends. Another thing that struck us is the difference between the the British State in 2014 and what it is like now those 10 years on having weathered brexit, a pandemic, 14 years of Tory rule and five Tory Prime Ministers. Let’s hope our new Labour Prime Minister and his Labour – We’ll Bring Change – Government is an improvement.
Conter Conference Highlights are:
- 00:57 Laura Webster, Editor of the National Newspaper
