Glasgow is fortunate in that it has a pretty good local train network from the city centre out to the suburbs. It has a subway, known affectionately as The Clockwork Orange. And or course it has a lot of local buses though sadly no longer run by Glasgow City itself.

But anyone used to European public transport will immediately notice that this quite impressive public transport infrastructure isn’t joined up. Somehow it seems beyond the ken of our transports management to work out how to issue one ticket that works for all kinds of transport.

Beckie Menzies is an activist with the Get Glasgow Moving campaign group. She talks about what the group hopes to achieve in the their campaign. And joined-up ticketing is only a small part of their aims!
